AIDE Privacy Policy
Effective date: 07/29/26
This Privacy Policy explains how AIDE, a division of Appsuite, Inc., collects, uses, stores, and protects information. AIDE is Enterprise Knowledge Infrastructure for AI-assisted software development: it reads a customer's codebase and related material and produces an organized understanding of that software.
Because AIDE is pointed at source repositories, the most important question is what it reads and what it keeps. That is answered first, before anything else.
1. What AIDE Reads From Your Repository, and What It Does Not
What AIDE reads:
- File and folder structure, and file names and paths.
- Symbol names — functions, classes, methods, types, and modules — and the relationships between them, such as calls and imports.
- Database structure derived from code and migrations, including table and column names and the SQL statements that reference them.
- Route, endpoint, and screen definitions.
- Standards, architecture, and decision documents committed to the repository.
- Test definitions and validation expectations.
What AIDE does not read, and does not store:
- Secrets, credentials, API keys, tokens, certificates, or
.envfiles. - Your customers' data, or any production data held in your systems.
- Source code contents as a stored artifact. AIDE derives and stores structure — the map — not a copy of your code.
- Anything outside the repositories and sources you explicitly connect.
AIDE's access to a connected repository is read-only. AIDE does not write to your repository and does not write to your database.
2. Optional Public Website Analysis
If you opt in during onboarding, AIDE will inspect your public website to identify your hosting provider, CDN, certificate issuer, and third-party services in use, so you do not have to enter them by hand. This reads only information already published publicly. It is off unless you choose it, it can be declined without affecting anything else, and declining it only means those fields are entered manually.
3. Account and Commercial Information We Collect
- Organization name, account owner name, email address, and role.
- Authentication information, including password hashes, session records, sign-in times, IP address, and user agent.
- Mobile phone number, if you choose to provide one, and your SMS consent record. See the SMS Terms.
- Subscription, seat, license, entitlement, plan, and usage information.
- Billing contact information, payment method type, agreement acceptance records, and transaction results.
- Support correspondence, and delivery logs for email and text messages we send you.
4. Product Evidence and Measurement
AIDE records what happened during AI-assisted work so it can measure and improve outcomes: prompt contracts created, work packets served, validation results, readiness scores, cycle time, intervention minutes, token consumption, rework, and defects. This evidence belongs to your workspace and is what makes the readiness and return-on-investment reporting possible.
5. How We Use Information
- To operate AIDE: build and maintain your software map, serve work packets, score readiness, and run validation.
- To administer your account, seats, licenses, entitlements, subscription, and billing.
- To send service notifications you have asked for or that are necessary to your account's security.
- To secure the service, enforce access controls, investigate errors, and maintain audit history.
- To measure and improve AIDE's reliability, accuracy, and performance.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate AIDE — cloud hosting and databases, secrets management, email delivery, SMS delivery, payment processing, security, support, and analytics. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect rights, security, and the integrity of the service.
7. AI Models and Your Code Structure
AIDE's purpose is to give an AI coding assistant the context it needs, which means structural information about your software is provided to the AI model and tooling you are using, at the point you ask for it. AIDE does not use your material to train models on your behalf or on ours.
8. Data Security
AIDE uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These include role-based access control, authenticated sessions, audit logging, encrypted connections, managed secrets storage, and controlled production access.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, maintain audit trails, and enforce agreements. Derived structural maps and evidence are retained for the life of your workspace so that history and trend reporting remain meaningful. Retention periods vary by data type and business requirement.
10. Your Choices
- You may disconnect a repository or source at any time.
- You may decline the optional public website analysis, or withdraw it later.
- You may add or remove your mobile number, and reply STOP to any AIDE text message to stop receiving them.
- You may request assistance reviewing, correcting, exporting, or deleting applicable information, subject to legal, accounting, security, and contractual requirements.
Account and security notifications sent by email cannot be turned off while your account is active.
11. Cookies and Session Data
AIDE uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect your account. It is required for authenticated use of the service. AIDE does not use advertising cookies.
12. International Access
AIDE is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or in other locations where Appsuite or its service providers operate, subject to applicable requirements.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Updates are posted on this page with a revised effective date. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so.
